Summary

  • Add a README release checklist for revalidating bundled default model IDs before every tagged build.
  • Record that OpenAI defaults gpt-5.5 and gpt-5.4-mini, with gpt-5.5 selected by default, were checked on 2026-06-23 against current official OpenAI guidance.
  • Require third-party bundled defaults, including OpenRouter examples, to be checked against provider catalogs before tagging.
  • Update TODO to mark this backlog item done and advance to bundle identifier/signing review.
